Heritage Timbercraft is a New Zealand owned business based on Mohaka River Farm in Hawkes Bay. This 270 acre property is the hub of our community and a number of craft based businesses including Heritage Timbercraft. We were previously based in Kimbolton in the Manawatu and prior to that in Ruby Bay Nelson. We serve customers throughout New Zealand. We love the beauty and warmth that characterises old timbers as well as the history that comes with them. We also love craft and it is a privilege for us to be working with our hands crafting spaces and furniture and teaching craft to others. Our background is in traditional post and beam joinery, Ralph having co-founded the first traditional post and beam company in New Zealand over 15 years ago.
We love working with clients to design and create beautiful spaces or features that will enhance their home. We source antique barns through our relationship with friends in Texas, USA. We also benefit from local friends who help source us timber for our sawmill so that we can now supply new timber frames, boards and beams.
Our local and international qualified design team specialises in barn homes having been involved in the design of over 100 new builds. We enjoy working with our clients to create their dream home using our skills to streamline the process and talk through design decisions.
We also enjoy joinery and in particular adding character and feature through solid antique and new barn-style doors and classic gate designs.
